Mountain Cookin' with Missy's Hot Dog Chili Sauce recipe -- perfect for the Fourth of July, delicious enough to serve any time of year.
Kitchenware
- 1 Heavy saucepan with lid
- 1 Spoon or spatula
Ingredients

1 lb lean ground beef

2 c water
-
1 chopped onion
-
One 6oz can tomato paste
-
1/2 c ketchup
-
1 tbs cumin
-
1 tbs chili powder
-
1/2 tsp black pepper
-
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
-
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
-
2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions
In a heavy saucepan on medium heat, add beef, water and onion. (1 lb lean ground beef, 2 c water, 1 chopped onion)
Stir and bring to a boil.
Let boil for 5 min.
Reduce heat to low and add the rest of the ingredients.
Stir together till combined. (1 6oz can tomato paste, 1/2 c ketchup, 1 tbs cumin, 1 tbs chili powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 2 tsp red pepper flakes, Salt and Pepper to taste)
Cover and let simmer for about 10 min. Adjust seasonings to taste.
